I am wondering though, I read in SMP that it puts even load on the procs, so when they are both running at 50% that is as high as you will get. Is this true for folding? If its not true then that thing is a godlike beast that will own all.

no he's right. full load on two processors is still 100% total. Yes the two Processor graphs in the taskmanager will show 100% but core 1 and core 2 will show 50% usage.
