rubbing alcohol? meths?

i use nail polish remover all the time. bear in mind that it won't dissolve the as2, but helps remove it from the surface it was on. you still have to wipe the as2 off if you know what i'm getting at.

Try Rubbing Alcohol and a Q-tip then. That will clean it up.

I always use engine degreaser. Works like a charm.

It never has for me but I take no responsibility. I usually put some on a lint free cloth and wipe it down, maybe just a very small squirt on the chip if needed and then wipe it up quick

It sure does! But I do the same. Spray it on the cloth first, outdoors or with a window open.

Make sure that you use a lint free cloth in your last step. You don't wanna have any of that nasty cotton sitting on your die.

brake cleaner (perchloroethylene) works well on heat sinks, not sure about how safe it is to use on processors, but don't let it come in contact with your skin, or breate any fumes because it is carcinogenic:D
