Is there a satellite internet service that I can use while traveling? Like if I have my laptop with me in the car, will I be able to access the internet using the cars antenna or something like that?

I may have to look into sprint's wireless service, depends on the cost and all that stuff though.
My bruddah just got a cord that connects his Alltel phone to a USB port on his laptop to work as a cellular modem. He can dial his normal ISP and surf to his hearts content while driving (he's a rather scary driver).
If your ISP has an 800 number for the traveling businessman, or even a (gasp) AOL account that you can acces from a few hundred different local numbers, you can take it on the road for longer/further trips.
It ain't the fastest (I think he said around 40k) but it works.
I know the Sprint system works quite a bit faster, but not all areas are covered and their maps of coverage areas seam to be overoptimistic in places (like most wireless/cellular providers).

Hi,
Apparently Voda Phone do offer some sorts of "plug-In" PCMIA Wireless mobile services, i.e. suitable Laptop Users can connect and surf their internets and downloading e-mails etc while travelling once they have this card plugged in to the laptops! Of course you have to subsribe to their networks first.
