i share an internet connection with my bro via the lan using a proxy server...

is it possible to set up a folding@home client with a proxy?

Hi man, I was wondering the same thing, though couldn't set up the share connection betwin the two comps, could u assist?

hmm....i use a program called "Analog X"...i BELIEVE u can get it at www.download.com....if not just do a search in google

socks5
nntp
pop3
smtp
ftp

the problem is the programs you are using have to support proxy settings.....AIM/IE have settings....but a few don't (ICQ, etc)


the installation and setup should be pretty self-explainatory....this is prolly one of the easiest proxies to set up


you can just shut up the internet sharing in the networking...not a big fan :P

im gonna try using the firewall settings....hopefully it'll work

hehe..have to wait til i get home tho to try it (a few more hours!)
