View Full Version : Network cards
I would like to have two computers sharing a cable internet connection but I have run out of PCI slots in the computer I want as the host. I have one ISA slot free and 2 USB ports not in use. Should I go for an ISA network card or a USB network adapter, or is there anything else I can get? Also, can anyone give me an idea of how much a USB network adapter (australian dollars) is?
Thanks.

ISA or USB? it depends on what you wanna do, for LAN games a ISA card will be fine (I believe all ISA cards are 10Mbit, well at least all ISA cards I've seen).
An USB network adapter would cost about $80 (Aus) But if you look around I'm sure you can find a (2nd hand)3Com ISA card for about $10 (Aus).
Hope this helped
BTW here are a couple of links.
