Crossfire Capable?

my friend had a quick question, he just picked up an abit an8 SLI and a x800 xl and he was wondering if 1)he could do crossfire with the an8, and 2) if his x800 xl will be able to do crossfire. thanks

From what I've read so far I gather Crossfire will not work on an SLI board because it lacks the ATI chipset. So that would be a negative to number one.

For number 2, yes his X800XL will work for Crossfire. But first he will need a motherboard with a Radeon Xpress 200 chipset and the X800 Crossfire Edition (which is in essence another X800XL except with the compositing engine chip installed on it) video card.
