Easy question ABIT guys.

I don't know much about the 848 chipset other than there are much better choices if you want to overclock.

848 is basically the 865 without dual channel support. board should overclock decently.

Right there is why I would never buy it. Dual channel helps performance a lot.

id have to agree with batboy. although raising memory speed 10% at a 1:1 will only get you 1% system performance. however

memory running in dual channel at 1:1 has the same bandwidth as the processor.

memory running in single channel has half the bandwidth of the processor. so the memory becomes the bottlekneck. and this is a signifigant performance decrease.
