id have to agree with batboy. although raising memory speed 10% at a 1:1 will only get you 1% system performance. however

memory running in dual channel at 1:1 has the same bandwidth as the processor.

memory running in single channel has half the bandwidth of the processor. so the memory becomes the bottlekneck. and this is a signifigant performance decrease.
