What stepping Celeron should I get? So I can overclock it higher? I'm talking of a speed range of betwin 600 - 700 MHz. Thx ahead.
Celerons in the 600-700 MHz range only go up to cC0 stepping, which is the best stepping for overclocking in that range. However, the cD0 stepping on average overclocks faster. People seem to have good luck with the Celeron 800 (100 fsb default)which comes in both flavors, cC0 and cD0.
I'd avoid the C700, as they have a reputation for not overclocking well. I agree with batbay on the C800. Not much more money that the 700, but will overclock MUCH higher.
Good Celerons for o/cing:
566, 600, 633, 800, 850, 900.
The first three are getting harder to find "new", but searching around may turn one up. The last three ARE new, and really aren't all that expensive. Definitely worth looking at.
Some people are getting those C800's to run at or beyond 1066MHz.....
Good luck in your search!

Thx guys. What do you think of a Celly 667?
Unless you get a good deal on it, I'd try for one of the others I mentioned. The 667 has a multiplier of 10x, which is right near the top of the max of the core. Some people have had good results with them, but others have had better results with a lower speed default chip, like the cC0 C600, which has a multi of 9x.
The higher the multi is, the harder it is to get the chip to overclock well. Bear in mind, this is not carved in stone, but a general rule of thumb. Every chip overclocks differently. You might get a really good 667, that will crack 1GHz easily. The 667 is as high default, as I would go.

Mr B some cel600s have been 'claimed' to hit 133fsb! that is an amazing feat. If you could get a 667 to boot to 100fsb then you would be golden,
Anyway I would suggest the 800 only because it would be far easier to get a gig out of it rather than a 600. But the 566, 600 and 633 are very good to toy with ;-)
I've only had experience with one C-667, a buddy's who fortunately is not an overclocker. When he asked me to recommend an inexpensive CPU last winter, I suggested a C-600 or C-633. He bought a C-667 instead (cC0 stepping). That thing is an overclocking dawg. I have tried and tried and all it will do stable is 75 FSB (750 MHz).

Yup, and the words "Liguid Nitrogen" come to mind, as well....LOL That would be 1.2GHz from that setup...=)
