I got an Alpha Pal 6035 and I bought it because my friend highly recommend it......

I used it for 4 months already and just wonder if these temps are all rite and should I continue overclocking or not....

50C maximum full load...... (Default speed)

I wonder how much Vcore does the heatsink holds before is too hot....

actually is this ok?

1Ghz @ 1.4 (1.85) using my heatsink and how can I improve the results

for info about my PC configuration.... look at the sign!

Those Temps are fine for normal use but if u are overclocking and gaming etc etc you need much better cooling!!!

The SK6 is the favourite at the moment and I would highly recomend this heatsink but those temps are way too high for overclocking!!

yeah it is a POS... compared to my new Alpha0845. Mr B is correct it is a very nice hsf I just think that your case needs more airflow and which fan is running on the alpha?

The Alpha Pal 6035 is still a good HS, it´s just getting a little old. When it was designed the Cpu´s had half the wattage they have today. When we see this, we have to admit, that it was a masterpiece when it was designed by Alpha, as it still cools ok.

You could try a Delta screamer or a Y.S. Tech 40 cfm on it. I´m sure this would do a lot for your temps. (and your noise level :D )

Just like UR said, those heatsink are pretty good, and you have the option of upgrading to a better LOUDER fan which will decrease your temps even more, and ofcourse some arctic silver will do good aswell, and you also have to keep in mind that you have your CPU overclocked from 1ghz to 1.4 so I would say that those temps are not bad for the settings you currently have your cpu at :)

The temps are okay, I wouldn't worry about them. As long as everthing is stable it will be alright.

I use an alpha pal6035 in my bro's computer with a pretty quiet fan (sunon I think?), and It has two 120mm papst case fans (rather quiet also). Temps for his duron 850 @ 900- 33C

Pal6035 is good but CAK38 is better!
and plus don't use the stars thermal paste it sux!
and just check if the thermal paste on your CPU is worn off and just get it off and apply it again
also you should turn on your A/C!!

I love my Alpha PAL6035. At full load I'm running at 43C.

Your temps seem a little high. I bet you need more case fans. I have about 5 case fans in total.

Check specs below

I just reply it 4 days ago! And KT7A 3R Bios add 4 C to the real temp so is still.. 45C... but I didn't oc... damn... shouldn't be that high!

the pal6035 coupled with a delta fan is still a very capable hsf combo. i run one on my tbird 1.2ghz at 1.406ghz, and my temps hit 50c TOPS normally! i live in a hot climate like you do tio, but even with 33-38C ambient temps my cpu has hit a max of 51C once or twice, and is normally under 50C under full load.

if you want to get a better hsf, the sk6 with that evil ys-tech 40cfm fan would be the business!
