Any suggested programs that you would use to clear memory?

I think all that you really can do is startup your computer with only the bare minimun of programs running. I have never heard of a way to clear memory besides restarting the PC.

System Mechanic (http://www.iolo.com/sm/ads/landing/index.cfm?pid=445F2C56-41B2-449B-8E15-F880DD92137D) has an option to defrag the system memory. I've used it and came up with zero benefit to performance.

doesnt give you a benefit. The new stuff gets loaded into ram and then the old stuff gets moved to the swap file. Also those things may give you a 1 nanosecond speed up (which you wont notice...) So dont bother with those programs just bench after a startup
