This thread is intended for any discussion of the Not WW5 Contest relating only to techinical details. If you're having trouble signing up, find a bug/strange behavior, want to request a feature, etc, this is the place. Please keep any other topics in this thread (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?p=3757072). I will make any important announcements pertaining to the contest in this thread.

Edit: For the record, the contest was started around 12:20 on 13/6/2005. No WUs turned in before that date will count. It should have started at 12:00 but I got a little excited doing some last-minute testing.

Bandwidth shouldn't be a biggie unless you somehow manage to go over 96G. The address for the score and clients graphs are at http://contest.mksig.org/img/notww5_score.png and http://contest.mksig.org/img/notww5_clients.png, respectively.

Stats are updated every hour on the hour. A WU turned in at 12:02 will show up in the stats at 1:00. If this isn't happening, tell me and I'll try to get it straightened out.

I don't know if all the individual stats are working yet, but I'm showing up with 0 pts contributed. I hope that doesn't mean I have nothing going toward the team total??

Ah, my fault for not looking at date/time. I thought I had missed this and it had been going on for awhile :)

my stats are screwy on your site they say 691 which would be my 450+241 but i just turned in that 241 and my 364 point wu isnt on you site at all my score on eoc is 814+241 here shortly which puts me at 1055 points for the day

I can't tell from EOC exactly when your WU came in, but it did come in somewhere between 10:00 and 1:00 (my local time). Since I started the contest at 12:00 (my time), it probably just came in too early to be counted.

That'd be nice... I think hels had a rank set up similar to that he showed me before the contest started. Once ya get past Wedo, Nikh, Hels himself, and Mustanley... the PPD hit the 1k area

look I don't wanna "P" anyone off but this is bull my stats are BULL accofding to the contest site I have 1,994 points in the last three days. Wrong according to EOC and my logs I have 2,847 thats a differance of 853 POINTS I really think someone should look into this.

I am starting to feel like i'm getting the shaft here espically since i said something already.

Sipherblade, please send the relevant logs to cotto1@cs.uoregon.edu and I'll see if I can't get to the bottom of this. I also have to wonder about EOC. Your point totals on their page (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=117940) and Stanford's page (http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&username=Sipherblade) differ.
My script works by reading each user's page from Stanford and extracting the score from it. It then puts the score in a flat file "database" and graphs the difference between the first recorded score and each one afterwards. The only way my scores could be inaccurate would be if Stanford's site was giving bad scores.
In the future, please make your case as specific as possible and post the information that lead you to your conclusion. Looking through everything manually is a tedious and I don't have access to the logs you're looking at to figure out what you're thinking.

The data I have for you look like this (format is hour:score):

That's due to some DNS screwieness. Fortunately it doesn't effect stats collection. Until the DNS info becomes sane and propagates, you access the site by its IP address (http://207.210.65.219).
