3d app performance - W98SE to W2K PRO

im planning to move from W98SE to 2K professional - will my 3D applications performance decrease??

It probably won't be noticeable to you at all. If you go by benchmarks, Win2K is a bit slower than 98/ME.

I play tons of games on my Win2K rigs and find that it is actually more stable and online gaming is much better considering the better stability Win2K has by default and the better TCP/IP stack over Win98/ME.

Unless you have a system that just borders what it takes to run Win2K effectively, you should be just fine.

Win2k is alot better with memory and stability, if anything, you will gain performance from upgrading.
