are you sure its not ntldr? If so you can jsut do a repair instal. Insert your xp cd, press enter to setup xp, when it searches for previous installations press R to repair the xp instalation it will find. you could also copy the file and replace it using the recovery consol but I coudln't talk you through it without lookign at it myself.

Did you replace any hardware during this mod? Do you have a recovery image in which you could boot from, you might could also try repairing that Windows system.

I noticed you have two harddrives. Make sure the bios "boot device" settings are set to look at the drive that windows is installed on.

cack's solution soundls like the most reasonable and logical, I neglected to notice you have 2 hard drives.

Well that didt work (the master and slave were allready set correctly).

Well I meant change out when I said "replace". You would have had to make a recovery image before the system went down, I just thought you might, because I always make images before I do anything to my computer (just call me paranoid after losing 2 hdd's at the same time). Out of curiosity, in your BIOS is both drives being shown?

Alright, I am on AIM right now. There are a lot of things that could be causing the ntldr error to pop up, we probably would need to talk on aim to figure that out.

How is your drives connected to the computer? Sometimes a faulty drive cable can cause those errors to occur.

They were working before...drives shouldt be the problom...the main HD is hooked up.
