Looking for 1GB of PC4000 so that I can do 250mhz on my Barton. Right now leaning toword Geil or KingMax, slight edge to KingMax due to reviews 2x512MB for $137 and $145. Any better deals or better RAM at roughly the same price?

doesn't have to be from the egg.

Have you looked into the TwinMOS Speed Premiums (AADT) PC3200 or OCZ Value VX series? They are cheaper than $140 and contain the Winbond UTT chips....capable of over DDR500 @ 2-2-2-5 w/ appropriate voltage.

I got Geil pc4000 and it won't do 250mhz at there rated timings, and it doens't like voltage, if I increase voltage the amount of errors increase.

My mobo only goes to 2.8V, I don't want to mess with a booster either. It looks like KingMax is in the lead unless there are other suggestions.
