yeah it would, interesting wu's are pretty rare. I have had one that I know of. I ran the screen saver a while so I could have had some there.

How do you check to see if something interesting came up while using the screen saver version? I know I haven't found ET because I haven't got an email but how can I check to see if I ever had anything out of the ordinary?

I know in an older Seti Spy version it said (interesting) next to the work unit once it was done. I will send a screen shot when I go home to the computer it is on.

OR.... If you don't want to look at SETISpy, and like to do math....

You could calculate the score of a gaussian. Basically, take the power of the gaussian and divide it by the fit. I don't know what score is considered "interesting", but it has to be greater than 0.166 (my current gaussian has this score and isn't interesting).

Just look at Spy... It'll tell ya all you need to know. AND NO COMPLEX MATH!

Oh yeah... I've had 5 interesting gaussians since using SETI (GUI and CLC). You can tell an interesting gaussian by a asteric (*) next to the "best gaussian" of a WU in the SETISpy log.
