I cut the hole for my window today. I used an industrial air-powered die grinder (like a dremel on large amounts of steroids ^_^) it cut through the panel like a hot knife through butter. It only took me like 10 minutes total to get the hole cut out (even the rounded edges, which I thought were going to be a bitch!) and then used the sanding attachment to smooth it out real nice like.

For the moulding, (you might wanna hang on to this tidbit for future reference ^_^) I used an old piece of neopreen hose slit down the middle! It looks great and it was free! (my dad keeps it around for emergency fuel lineage.) Now I just have to get the plexiglass and hot glue it into place, then hope to any kami listening that I win my auction on eBay (2 8" purple neon bars). And BOOM! Instant case mod!

Oh, I also had the sides primered today. I'm gunna have to wet-sand them tomorrow. Damn, I'm so excited!

Yeah, same deal here, cept what I'm using is probably thicker. I got the sides all painted today (you read, my dad painted the sides :)), but when he was doing it, a large gust of wind blew all kinds of dust onto the paint, so he had to take it all off w/ gunwash (a combination of Enamel Reducer and Laquor Thinner and goddess knows what else) so I have to get it redone later. I also picked up my switch for my neon bar and my lucite and a lucite knife (total for all 3 @ Home Depot: $22 and change CDN). Hopefully my dad will be able to paint my sides again in relatively short order. That way, I can glue my hose in place (which I painted silver) glue my lucite into place slap my gold flake Thunderbird sticker into place (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1275125529) and take a few pics to put into the forums.
