I am looking to upgrade my mother's computer and I want to maximize performance for as little $$ as possible. OC-ing is a good way to save $$, but I don't want to mess with watercooling for my mom's computer, so I will be limited to normal air-cooling. Also, I don't want Big Momma to complain about her new computer being louder than a jet engine, so I will have to limit the size/number/volume of fans. So, I was thinking that the Duron 1GHz would be a good value and would allow air-cooled overclocking, especially since it features the Palomino core that runs cooler than the old core. Anyone had experience with the Duron 1gig? Thanks in advance. :D
