Stupid Annoying Problem

Ok well I got a free Dell Latitude CP. Ya its old but oh well free is free. If I didnt snag it and a few others it would be donated or trashed, haha. It does have one annoying problem.

Every button I press on the keyboard makes a beep noise. :eh?: I just reinstalled Windows 2000 Pro SP4 and it stayed. The only way I found to stop it was mute the speaker but then I cant listen to music... :rolleyes:

So did I miss a setting somewhere? Can someone help disable the beeps?

hmm does the keyboard actually work?
and does the beep come from the speakers on teh monitor (the two ones)?
or the speaker inside the laptop?
if it's the second one, you could just open up the laptop and unplug that speaker

Im guessing the norrmal speakers since the sound stops when I mute the system. Andd yes the keyboard works fine. Its wierd tho, i dont know why it beeps..

yeah check the bios, and have a look at the online manual, if you can find it

well tehre's no way sound coming like that way in a normal condtion. Yuo're sure you're not accidenltey enable accessbility option for the keyboard? and also you might have to remove the keyboard connecor from the machine and connect it back. Well these are generals things that came into my mind. I think you might find the removing methods manual in their relavant web site.
