Well, I bought this ABIT IC7-G MAXII board from a fellow ocforum member fairly recently, along with a 2.8E. I'm trying to install windows with a Fortron 530, a 200gb WD Sata, and a 9700pro. After the MSDOS WinXP install procedure (I do the full NTFS format) the computer reboots and tries to load the HDD. Here is the error I get (I'm on my laptop, so I'm copying from the other PC right now):

Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information.

I only got some cables, the I/O shield, and the mobo CD when I bought it from the classies. Do I need a SATA disk? If not, what is my problem?

Thanks in advance.

I love Batboy. :)

Gonna try it out now. I'll let ya know how it works out. Thanks, bro.

I'm moving to the other thread, and I'll start posting there. :p
