View Full Version : cas 3 ram running at cas2?

yea i got cas 3 sdram but i set it to cas 2 and it running just fine. can i keep it that way? is it faster that way, even though its rated at cas2?

If it's rated CAS3 and you have it running completely stable at CAS2, then by all means, leave it there. You should get a decent bandwidth increase unless your chipset binds things up.

I got my generic pc 133 cas 3 runnin at cas 2 also,
but I can only pull 137 out of it:(

same principle as running your cpu 400mhz faster than its rated for, aint that what where here for :)
