Hmmm. The Radeon beat the Titanium in 3DMark2001. And 2001 was made for the GForce3.

Maybe they should have named it the GForce Lead because it looks pretty soft to me.

i figure that the two cards are gonna be pretty much the same in terms of performance.....BUT, the 8500 will definately win if they can keep that $50-100 lower price when compared to the geforce.

also, as always, ATi will have the better image quality and 2d performance.

And, as always ATI's hardware DVD is the best in the business.

GF has been all about hype ever since the GF2....I for one hope the radeon kicks the snot out of it (maybe that's just cuz i ordered a radeon from dell =)

But it's impressive that the radeon could keep up with the GF3 using pre-production drivers...even the nvidia fans have to admit that

just thinking...shouldn't this be in debates?

When the new games come out you will see the real benefits... the Radeon card has dual rendering pipes for its new onboard pixel shading features, while the geforce 3 only has one. In games that ID software is developing, and already admits will only run at 30fps on the geforce 3 when released, that will make a lot of difference.
