Broad question. The biggest brands are Linksys and D-Link, you can check both their websites for different products. I personally like D-link, I would pick this one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1173255&CatId=0

sorry for the broad question. I just know i want 802.11g @ 54mb or 108mb. I'll check out the D-link routers, thanks.

I have a D-Link wireless router and it's great. It's hard to beat D-Link routers. Make sure you get the faster type that has data rates up to 108Mbps.

I on the other hand have a Linksys and I havent had any problems. Ive never used a D-Link so I cant honestly say how they work. I just remeber when I used to work for a popular electronics store the number of returns we use to get on them. I think thats why Ive never tried one. Thats been a few years ago now, so of course thats probably changed.

Ive used D-link, SMC, and Linksys which im currently using. The D-link failed after about a month's or so use. The SMC was great. That held up for a good 3 years. And im currently using a linksys wap54g which is awesome. Very fast, reliant and pretty secure with wap. So i like it a lot.

If you do decide to buy a 108 Mps router make sure the wirelss card in your PC is also 108 Mps otherwise you are just wasing your money on something you will never use to it's full potential and unless you have a network and are doing a lot of file sharing from PC to PC on a regular bases it just not worth upgrading in my opinion.

Good point, you need matching wireless adaptor cards too.
