View Full Version : Opinions on Becooling water cooling kit
I've been talking a look at the Becooling water cooling kit and I like the way it's been setup with the reservoir in the aluminum container. The problem is that I would like to get a better pump then the rio 180. What would you suggest I use for a pump and what could I do in terms of a reservoir, in case I want to bring my system somewhere, and it would be nice if everything could be enclosed.

you can get a inline water pump so you dont need a resavor=]
The becooling kit is very nice... i love the radiator. If you look at there site they offer the danner mag 250 pump which can be submersed as well. Just email them stating what you need. they offer grea service.

After seeing the compactness of that kit I'm tempted to finally put water in my case. I just have more confidence in quick disconnects and I wish the ends of the radiator outlets were beaded to seal better.

i bought becooling's original aquastealth. its a nice kit if you want the basics and just to start things off. the rio180 pump is an excellent pump for that system. if you're thinking about getting a bigger or faster pump, think first, whats the use? there is none the rio180 is extremely silent and works well for a small closed loop system like that. brian (becooling) is a cool guy too. i talked to him on MSN while i set up my system. my $0.02
The reason I was looking for something more powerful than the Rio 180 is that I was afraid that it might not be powerful enough to get a good flow because I've got a full size tower.

how are you planning on mounting it? i would mount the radiator LOW. like the directions say on www.aquastealth.com . if your radiator is higher than most components, (Heaven forbid) you could have a leak and mess up your whole system. also, hot air could get to the radiator if its high in your tower. anyways if you want to buy a new pump, hey- whatever tickles your salty cucumber.
I was planning on mounting it like the instructions on the site. I just hope that I can get enough air to my rad since there's the plastic bevel that I can't realy cut, althougth the metal inside is another story. That I can easily remove.
It's a great starting kit to get you on your way. Thats the kit I used.
As for the Rio 180 pump if you want a bigger pump to put in that reservoir you can put up to a Rio 400 that will fit in it. I can't remember but I think the 400 pumps about 100gph at 1 foot of lift.
Do you know where I could get the 400 and/or other models of the Rio pumps?
