Using XP Pro having probs with HP Photosmart P1000 printer

Anyone have this printer and been able to make it work with XP?

I have tried the win2K driver from HP site, it installs and shows the device in device manager, says it is working but when I try to print something it comes up with" need to add a printer first"

Would it be worth trying the NT4 driver from their site?? XP drivers are not out yet at their site.
