Hi,

I've had this gig of Corsair pc3200XL TCCD since it 1st came out.

Been running it @ 2-2-2-8 2.8v since day 1
11.5x200 :(

Started running memtest on it & I'm not happy so far.

All 8.5 multiplier(X)

200mhz = np
210mhz = errors after 5 minutes
220mhz = errors instantly

lax up timings (2.5-3-3-10) 220mhz = sorry charlie.

210mhz = (2-2-2-5) = good :shrug:

Seems this stuff likes tight timings but not a high mhz/fsb

I have it running in a NF-7 nonS ver2 mobo.
D10 bios, no L12. (yeah yeah I know do them yesterday)
I have that D26 "other" bios sittin there & haven't flashed it yet.

I did the L12 a while back & don't think it worked, so I pulled it out.
(gotta try again)

So, what's up with this memory? I thought TCCD was 'spose to be the next BH-5 memory?

So far (6 months) I think this was a waste of $$. tight timings are nice & it
runs good, but I coulda bought a kick arse vid card for what I paid for these.

I still have a lot of testing to go, but a little feed back from anyone who has tccd chips would be cool.

I just think it's really just the combo of older mobo & cpu.
I'm sure if I put these in an A64 rig they'd fly.

:cool:

TIA

ok, cool. nice O/C there.

yeah, this mobo's bios doesn't have that many options for memory settings.

hmmm.... upgrade time maybe.

:cool:

I'll give it a go & see how she turns out.

Thanks RD.

I found the V031, but it only works for A64 chips.

I have an XP.

I dropped by the house @ lunch & set it up running 2.5-4-4-12 @ 2.9v @ 220
& started MemTest86+.iso & came back to work.

after 5 minutes it had no errors, so I figured I would let it run for anudder 5 hours & see what happens.
:cool:

I forgot that you have XP :shrug:

But yes, if you want to see that RAM fly get DFI NF4 Ultra-D and cheep LBBLE/3000+ Venice. It should cost you around $280.

See what I can squeezzzz outta this xp & nf7 1st.

but thanks for the info. atleast some1 else is using this stuff (mem) & admits it. :D

I got home yesterday & one of my kids shut the pc down. (strangle) @!@#$%^

So.... I had to restart. Had A LOT of errors above 210mhz on the fsb even
with loose timings. (2.5-4-4-12)

210 error
215 error
220 bah! nm

So I cranked up the v's to 2.9 & tightened the timings back to 2-2-2-5 (rated)
& let it fly.

If it didn't error, after 5 - 10 min's I bumped the miltiplier up.

made it back to 11.5 (x200) @ tight timings

Atleast now I can run 2-2-2-5 instead of 2-2-2-8+

Note: I let it run over night @ 2-2-2-5 @2.9 at 200fsb
& all was fine this AM. Zero errors)

Guess I'm pretty much maxed out with this Thorton core & "Older" mobo. /snicker.

*sigh* $300 for an upgrade

:cool:
