Athlon Xp Locked

Im a newbie at this whole overlcocking thing, I understand that the new Athlon XP is locked, does that mean that i cannot o/c it at all when its like that? Or is its overclocking potential just limited?

You can always increase the fsb. You can unlock the multipliers if you connect the L1 bridges but that is suppose to be more difficult now the what it was before.

yeah you can still increase the fsb intel style or you can use conductive pen/fogger repair kit.

it depends what you use the system for...intel is much more business-oriented than AMD (although why anyone would need a 2 ghz processor for M$ office is beyond me)

1.4? You gotta be kidding. I could never get my 1.4ghz over the speed of my 1ghz. I got rid of it a few days after I bought it. I told myself I would not buy a new CPU until I find one that will out-do my mighty AVIA. Well that time has arrived. The journey begins with an XP 1800!!

yeah trancebear is correct teh 1.53 at 20% overclock is going to be smoking fast. down with Intel until the northwood comes out intel still ain't got shi......nola
