i have win xp home on 1 HD and win xp x64 pro on the other
how can i set it up to when my comp starts it ask me what version i wanna use
in essence what hd do i wanna use (i think)

I don't think you can have the os's on two different hdds'... I know you can run 2 os's on one hdd though.

i think you can, i have linux on one hd with xp on the other, i think what you need is a Bootloader like GRUB or the one that partition magic has.

Well with 2 HD's and one OS on each, you have to go into your BIOS to tell the machine which HD to boot from... if you had 2 OS's on 1 HD, it would ask you. I never like having 2 OS's on ONE HD though, just my preference.

i thoight about doing it through BIOS too but i am not sure it will do thai as they are both SATA (not controlled south bridge, i think)
