Borgy's Watercooled PC (would this work?)

I like to reuse or make anything
so i had some older blocks that wouldn't fit my newer system (K8 Mobo)
And Ive had enough of fan noise
So time to Mod
Graghics card , Nvidia Fx5900 ultra
Cooling Pros... RAM cooing, not bad temps 45'c playing farcry only blocks 1 PCI slot but i dont need to use anyway
Cooling Cons .... need earpluges, the hsk fan make a great leaf blower

FX5900Stock.JPG

then i bought a Cooler Master Viva Great cooler for the price But not watercooling :)
Pros... almost silent, price only CAN$26
Cons... no RAM cooling, higher temps 50'c playing farcry
blocks 2 PCI's might be a problem for some but not me :)
FX59000VIVA.JPG

Now it time for watercooling
I had a old Danger Den Geforce 4 Block that i had on my old System
but i wouldnt fit on my FX5900 fo a new top had to be made
FX5900water.JPG

not even leak tested yet
but it looks like it going to block 3 PCI slots LOL

More to come

I know what you mean by the leaf blower thing. I got tired of the fan noise to. It is sooooo nice having a PC that makes little noise.

Thanx all
Plz keep the comments coming

Now for the CPU block

I made my own blocks up about 2-3 years ago
for a XP 1800+, Asus K7V266-E Set up
the CPU copper cap block can rotate so the out pipe is always at the top for air bleeding

I bought the maze 3 and VGA water blocks used for about CAN$20 each from a local forum here in Calgary Canada, just to compare to my homemade ones.
Mine worked very well, in fact I got 2"C lower temps on the CPU with the copper cap block.
But the Danger Den blocks looked much nicer. So I decided to use the Dander Den blocks and not bother with the north bridge block ,I couldn’t
see any difference in the overclocking speeds with or without it.
But as a lot of the acrylic tops on a maze 3’s it cracked as I installed it one time after cleaning .
oops.JPG

A very poor design with the holes so close to the edge of the block
So I made a replacement Aluminum top
alutop.JPG

This even lowered my CPU temp by 1’c and was used for some time, even after upgraded to a Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Barton 2500+ set up.

Then the FX5900 Graphics card with the Cooler Master Viva was installed and the Geforce 3 was removed so just the maze 3 was in the cooling loop.

I bought an Asus K8V SE Deluxe with a AMD 3200+ (air Cooled) a few months a go, and I’ve had enough of fan noise already so now its time to mod the Maze 3 to fit the K8 CPU here’s the result

No, well a bit but once Aluminum oxidades (SP) it's a protective coating
unlike rust that just keeps going
But i did clean it about every 3 months or so
I was going to paint it black but never got around to it  :-/
I use about 15% antifreeze in distilled water and change it every other clean

Edit
Im in the middle of leak testing once im home ill post photos
(at the inlaws)

that res is huge!
and what did you put in there?
-also, just wondering, how are you running dual channel on that mobo, it doesn't support it or atleast i don't think any 754 does?

The System took about 3.5 litres and i use a 15% antifreeze mix in distilled water
MY bad the ram isn't dual but it is on my media PC Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
with the same RAM 3x 256 running dual
Ill edit the post

well things went very bad for me toinght
my wife PC went down
after loads of testing i thought it was the graphics card fried an Ati 7500

So i took my FX5900 replaced the HSK and powered up with out a hich
then i put it in my wifes AMD 1000 .....OOPS
all i get is stripes over the monitor so i replaced it in my pc (still air cooled)
still get stripes
so not only a Ati 7500 fried but my FX5900ultra and im guess a K7 mobo
:mad::mad:
not a good day
