I'm looking to put some money into my case to cool it off before upgrading to a Athlon 1.2 I was thinking of getting rounded cables, and putting in a few new fans. Any suggestions as to where I should get my new cables, fans, and where I should put the fans would be appreciated.

Thanks

you can get rounded cables and different brands/sizes case fans from www.pcmods.com or www.2cooltek.com. The positioning of your case fans will pretty much vary on the size of your case, in another words you'll have to get the case fans in a size that will fit in whateverspace your case will allow you.

Its always good to have a fan blowing in (in the botton front) 1 or 2 fans on the left blowing towars the vcard and cpu, 1 or 2 fans sucking air from the back of the case and defanetely 1 fan on the top of the case sucking the air out aswell.

Hope this info was of any help.

I just checked out newfan.com and they seem to have good prices on cables and on fans. I think I'll order from them. I was looking through the fans and was wondering what is a good fan? What is the loudest that it should be? I think I'll put one on the top of my case and then another on the side blowing in. I already have one in the front and one in the back, in addition to the powersupply. What would you suggest for a good top fan and a side fan, also where would you suggest putting the side fan. Are the filtered fan guards worth it, or do they suck. Also what kind of cables do I need to get to replace my regular IDE cables, will ATA 100 cables do it?

Thanks

don't spend your money on rounded cables, you can make them by your own in 10 minutes and save $$$
