has anyone encountered this problem with winblows xp: when i try to shut down i restart instead. anyclue why or is it just me again?

Try removing msconfig startup items. Also disable power saving options in the bios and windows. Start with that. Try removing any external devices as well.

ummmmmm....how do i do that? xp doesn't use dos like 2k and nt

lol, sorry....i think i was on crack or something. yea, nothing much in my startup so there's no problem there
