you've got a good start on that wooden case. My next mod is going to be an HTPC for the livingroom, built to match our wooden entertainment center.

Bump! Having a deep appreciation for woodworking I want to help keep this thread active until it's complete. Besides, my first PC and Elf II is a woody, birch plywond, pine trim and a mahogany vaneer plywood cover. Knowing todays wattages and heat, I would either spray the interior with a flame retardant or line it with metal or other thermal barrier.
Nice work, get more pics when you take a break from building.

Yea I saw the farm on another thread, I love it!
The case is looking awesome, nice work!
The pictures are great. Just a photographer note. Take the picture about 6-10 feet away zoom in with the flash on, even with the house lights. The distance will elimate distortion and flash will provide fill for the dark areas. If you shoot macro or closer than 5 feet the flash will bounce all over the place blooming the shot. I also use a tripod $8 to $15 at a local dept store for final shots, it really sharpens up the image since I don't have steady hands.

cool stuff, love the farm too :)
Camera only has 2x Digital zoom, and the flash controller is crazy. I will have some more pics up tomorrow and maybe a short video for those who are interested. Actually, I probably won't host the video on my website but will email it to anyone that sends me an email with the subject "Case Video" --- send it to the.lipster {at) gmail [dot( com

OMG the plexi farm is insane!
Just finished up the Wooden Case Computer's Twin, The 4U Twin CPU Heavyweight. What I am really proud about though is the wiring job. My 8RDA+ in the PC-60 has all of its connectors down near the Hard-drives so that there is always a "rat's nest" down there. Gaze upon these...https://home.comcast.net/~gulp35/forum/4UWire_noPSU.jpg

This is also a good example of how crazy my camera's flash is. (I did use a "tripod" and used my digital 2x zoom on these, and they turned out alot better)

Looks awsome and the wiring looks cool, it's ALL out of the mobo's airspace the way you want it. I've taken apart so many factory rigs and rerouted the wiring. I found molex plugs hitting fans, ribbon cables sittin on the ram, extra molexes blocking the PSU intake.
Thats a nice setup with dual Opts
In-Progress: Have updated Dual Opteron page with "semi-worklog"/"project plan", however I am still in process of uploading pics.
I love the white fans, gives it a very fresh look.
Dual Opteron System has been edited and has a few more links to pictures....
In the picture gallery, 2 new pictures have been added that show the Fan Mounting...
Off to finish the Case :) !
FINISHED!!!!!
I will upload the finished pics either tonight or tomorrow. I'll maybe make a worklog to post in the worklog section.

Best woodworking i've seen to date?
I like the overall look of this wooden case. Might even start planning to build one of my own. The woodwork looks excellent.
