Ok

So I go to the local computer expo around here and see a cool deal on an epox 8kha and so I decide to get it. Great options in the bios and all that. well I go to try to use motherboard moniter and I just cant figure out what sensor to use to moniter my cpu temp and my sys temp. If anyone has ideas, Please let me know. I looked on the website and my board is not on its new list for mbm 5. I contated epox but have not heard from them yet. I cant oc my proc untill i figure it out.

I have tried several programs with this board. All seem to work. I use, something called "winsystem 98", sorry cant find a link, but also "hmonitor" works great:

just search for "hardware monitoring". There are lots of progs out there. Feel free to reply or email, I will try to help. I love this mobo.

Ok so I downloaded the Hmoniter and it seems pretty cool. But I can only get one sensor to work I am not sure which one it is. It seems to be too low for my cpu but I have good cooling and case flow so that in my bios the temp difference between the cpu and the mainboard are about the same or 1 or 2 degrees higher for the cpu. Around 35 degrees C. but like I said that is in the bios at idle.

My evaluation time is up on hmonitor, so I can't do much with it. However, I do know I got the CPU temp and the Mboard temp. to work.

The sensors, I were set like this:

Hmonitor Version 4.0.2.3 Pro
Unregistered (Trial)
H/W diagnostics info:

Windows 98 Version 4.10.67766446 A
MB Chipset: VIA KT266
MB Sensor: W83697HF
ISA port used: 290
SMB port used: 5000
1st sensor Thermistor
2nd sensor Thermistor
3rd sensor Thermistor
CPU ID:0-6-4-2
Vendor ID:AuthenticAMD
Clock Frequency:Internal=1130 MHz; External=265.88 MHz
Clock Ratio=8.5 DDR

I got this from settings:hardware setup. You can see if your numbers are the same. Seems to me that the "sensors" would be the place to look...

Hope this helps.

There are also other progs that I have got to work...

Let me know if I can help further.
