'ello alls..... I think this will be my first post in here.. but anywhoo..

Ok heres my question... I am on a cable modem setup 3 present computers runnin through a router Linksys something or other... 4 port router.. and I am runnin Win98se (for now) and I was checkin a few things with netstat and what not and decided to check and see how my Ip was setup... just bored kinda just lookin and tryin to learn... but again i wander... I ran winipcfg and Opened it up to look at my IP and all ... and it doesnt list my nic/lan Card... It reads as a PCI Bus Master Adapter... why is that? All the other times its read as a nic/lan card... whats the deal?

I do know a little about networking but not a whole lot... I can setup a LAN but beyond that Im a lil lost... Any ideas why it read this way? thanks... just tryin to learn a lil ?! :p

Ensure that the proper driver is installed for the NIC on that machine. See if it says the same thing in the device manager on that computer.

In the device manager it calls the the nic card like it should... And it works fine in every other aspect.... Just reads weird in the IP config window...
