My windows media player recently has had the problem of being overtly bright and losing contrast. Now I am not sure if these are changeable settings in windows media player, but I do not know where they are if they are there. Its almost as if the entire screen has a very bright white filter over itself.

Any ideas
?

I would look into either the video card drivers or your monitor. If this is only happening with Windows Media Player, then go to Tools-Options-Performance tab-Advanced and play around with the settings.

It is most-likely your monitor. I have had that problem before, and just adjusted the brightness and contrast, and it worked great.
