WOW!!! this is so freakin kewl... I finally got ahold of Ulead Gif Animator... and Ive been working with it for the past few hours... man... I hate 98... it has caused it to crash about half a dozen times so far... But Ive figured out quite a bit!!!

<~~~ thats my first animation! yea I know kinda lame... but Im working on one now... and I almost had it finished and Ulead crashed and I lost it.. ggrrrr:mad:
But I know what Im doing genericlly enough now... any hits or suggetions?

One question here and Ill leave yea alone at work... How can I take a pic (already gif file) and fade the background out of it but still keep the picture?

A lil detail.. It is a pic (active gif btw) of a lite fading in and out... all I want is the "light" not the black background... thanks either way!

If the background is set as a separate image, just delete the image (R.H. column) If it's set into each frame, you'll have to remove it from each frame........

ACK... ok Ive noticed that I can open MPG files with it... But I cant open *.mov ??? wtf? Is there another program to open them with? or maybe switch them to mpg's?

Man I hate real player... ggrrrr...

You can open .mpg and .avi movies in it. But be warned. There is a LOT of frames........:D

Thanks... the background and the "eye" are just 2 other pics that I had and the name was all the program... but very kewl... now where do you guys get those little movie clips? Just d/l the movie? and go through it? or? gimmie some tips :D

For all you need to know - go HERE (http://www.ulead.com/tech/ga.htm#manual). This is where you can d/l the manual in .pdf format (so get Adobe Acrobat Reader HERE (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html)). It tells you all you need to know, but the best advice is d/l the trial version first, try it, love it, buy it.

Basically, you can insert single images, or .mpg or .avi videos into it, and save the result as an animated GIF file.

you can convert mpgs and avi files to grab some frames. Also paint shop 7 is great for editing frames. Also do the animation first then put it over the backround.

Ok Im looking for a few tips here... Anything you might be willin to share with a newbie to this.. hints tricks etc etc etc.. I thought Ive seen things where you could go in and add designs to the pics but im not finding anything... maybe a different proggie?

How appropriate "Switch" :D I've attached it.
Not sure if it lets you convert .MOV-->.MPG but it will convert .MOV-->.AVI.
