Has anyone tried the newly released drivers yet?

I just installed them on my laptop......didn't really improve my fps in UT at all. Maybe it will work better for someone else.

Just to ask........I have a 9600 Pro Turbo and I saw when I was installing it that I have the option of having Fastwrites on or off. It said choose on if your 9600 couldn't run with it off.............what should I be looking for? stuttering in game?

If you're overclocking, turn off fast write.

hm... i get better scores in 3dmark05 with the drivers from ati then the omegas......thats quite odd

That is because Omega drivers are not any new special driver. It's almost the exact same thing as the Catalyst drivers. (They are the catalyst drivers with tweaks). The tweaks usually being image quality.

i installed them on my pc now (this is my first time trying omegas) and i can definetely notice a "crisper" image....i was actually quite surprised. it seems to help alot. i dont know about the fps or anything but i certainly do like the quality!

Has anyone been able to find the Image AI settings after installing the new driver? I can't find it anymore THey were in the older Omegas

Just installed the new Omegas.

3DMark03 went down ~20 points
3DMark05 went up ~60 points

Guess I'll keep it. ;)

Downloading them now... hopefully these ones will work in BF2 unlike the previous Omegas!

Has anyone been able to find the Image AI settings after installing the new driver? I can't find it anymore THey were in the older Omegas

It's within the Advanced 3D - 3D tab.

By the way, I got an increase of around 60-80 points in 3DMark05 with these new drivers. I guess I'll use it for now. :)

The thing is that the omega drivers used to be way better then the ati drivers but now the ati drivers are very good so there isn't as much of a difference as there used to be.

I like the new Omegas very much and I think they are better than Cat 5.6's. Also I have noticed that if you load up San Andreas with the Omega's, the "The Way It's Meant To Be Played" nVidia logo flashes up a lot faster than with the Catalysts... Weird :shrug:

Although, I'm not sure if the Cat 5.6's or new Omegas are as good as the Omegas based off Cat 5.4 as I thought those drivers were a lot more stable in general and a little faster, I'm not sure if it's just me.
