issue with search function

when clicking on search for "files and folders" nothing happens, i have to click on seach internet and then click on files and folders on my comp, any ideas? i still cant goto internet explorer internet options,, saying its restrticted, but eh,, i use firefox alot..

Assuming you're running XP, log on to your computer by using an account with administrative privileges. Click Start | Run | Type...%systemroot%\inf, and click OK | Locate the Srchasst.inf file, right click and select "Install". This reinstalls the files that the Search Companion requires.

yeah, xp, sorry,, ok done,,, guess ill have to reboot to see if it works.....
