The same version of superpi from the same site.

ftp://pi.super-computing.org/

Both runs without any changes to fsb,timings,etc...

Windows XP(32bit) sp1

42 secs.

Mandriva Linux 10.2rc2 X86_64(64 bit)
spilinux.jpg

33 secs.

Almost 10 secs better at same speed. Why? AFAIK, the version i got for linux is not compiled with a 64 bit compiler. Is this because the kernel is 64bit compiled.

Anyway, what do you guys make of this?

I can't see any of the numbers.

Is it the identical version, or is it some special pateched version.

I know running a patched version for Prescotts helps a ton, and Im thinking its something along those lines.

Huh? The numbers are on the screenshots. Try clicking on the pictures.
Both version are from the link on top of my first post. I have no idea if any of them have been patched or modified in any way.

Yea. I just can't make them out. Probally this computer Im on.

Ok, thanks.

I still have no idea. Other than a guess at a 64 bit optomized linux version.

Well, if these gains are in any way related to 64bit optimization, the future looks very promising.
