gees mbm is saying that my "delta" fan is spinning at 8035 after a little mod i did... do the delta fans say delta on it cause i can't remember what my fan said it was something like "yalda"?? i don't know if i can check now cuase i put a sticker on my fan so it looks funny when its spinning. :-)

yet my temperature is like 25C idle after a few minutes after running folding@home which hits 52C after 20minutes... and no i didn't use any asii how should i apply that stuff anyway... i dunno if i got any with my heatsink ill go look in the box

nope no pasty stuff just a little piece of foam and a white sticky thing the same size there alittle bigger than my duron core sitting out .. should i put them on my athlon core?? and if so which one first

From what you have described and your temps, it sounds like you have the amb approved pink pad on the bottom of you hs.

Have you removed the plastic cover from the pad?

There shouldn't be any foam on the bottom of your heatsink.

I believe that that type of a mod will reduce the fans life. Making the fan do what it isn't supposed to do will reduce its life. But hey we are overclockers.:D
