well to list a few of my probs:

random artifacts (vid card not oc'ed) mostly on images
f@h crashes
prime95 gives me ILLEGAL SUMMOUT error
games crash
any program that demands any cpu ower crshes (even simple graphics editing)
sometimes freezes while loading windows (xp)
get really bad static in the background when playing any type of audio

It does pass sandra benchmarks, and i just reformated last night. I'm currenly under clocked. I haven't had any huge hardware changes, this just randomly started happening a week ago and has gotten worse! I think its either the cpu or ram.

PLEASE HELP! :(

Could be your mobo also. If possible, I would try your parts on someone elses setup..if they'll let ya..:). Or vice-versa. Have you tried taking morning or evening and just taking_everything_apart on your PC.

Take out every card, go buy some canned air, clean everything off, and then reassemble.

Bingo, this is the 1st thing anybody should do to diagnose any problem not easily explained. Your typical O/C'er has many extra parts laying around.

What is the temp?? If the temp aint the problem it might be a faulty chip...

Background static!?!

Sounds like a bad case of VIA 686B bug to me. I have an Epox Board and SBLive too but I have many patches to take the affects of the bug down. Too much PCI Bus traffic could be causing your problems.

Only other idea is that your PSU doesn't cut it. Check out your 5v rail at load. If it falls below 4.7v you might have a problem. Mine blew up today coz it must have hit about 4.55v!

Good luck on finding the problem, esp considering it affects everthing!

well temp stay in the forties when at load, so thats not a prob. my 5v rail stay at 4.9+. although i found out that the problem is my cpu. the damn thing has a piece missing (no not really a nicked edge its a rectangler peice missing) I think that my HSF was applying to much force and cracked it. cause in the miidle of the cpu there's these permanent "specks" where there's small marks.

aww boy my luck seems to run short , top this off w/ the fact that my monitor blew a week ago and haven't been able to get a new one.
