Supported video types for PS2?

i have a video i was going to put on a cdrom, and i was wondering what format the ps2 supported? mpeg? AVi?

I think that it can do both, b/c it can play dvds, e.g. MPEG2 and 4, don't know about MPEG1, and many dvds have avi coding. I would go w/ an mpeg, but test it on an rw disk first.

Yea you need one of those modchips that read "european" aka copied games.
