Open-Source Linux Applications for Windows

Those of you whom want to convert to Linux, or have tried Linux before, what type of applications did you look for? Most of the applications on Linux can be used on Windows, because of the Open-Source Movement. If you have used an application on Linux that you feel is a necessary tool on Windows as well(Only if there are binaries), then post it, with a small description.
