Sorry Guys, ISP problems

Sorry Guys, I know I have not got alot of workunits done today. I have been having problems with my ISP all day, unable to connect, or it keeps giving me invalid user/password, even thought I try it again and it works. I got a copy of a free ISP to get the units that were done in, but what is really strange is it uses the exact same number as the isp that im using...Anyways

Most ISP's do exactly that. A lot of times the pop servers are owned by one company who then leases this stuff out to your ISP who takes everything from there. The pop servers here are all PSInet and all the ISP's, except AOL use the same numbers. I've changed ISP's 5 or 6 times which is how I found out about this. It would cost far too much for each ISP to try and take care of all of the local sites.
