In win98 I was able to use MSCONFIG>startup to disable startup programs, or icons in taskbar, how can I do this in w2k?

You can use msconfig from 98/me in 2k, but only for startup progs. i use x-teq's - x-setup which allows you to change startup options plus a load of other things.

Regedit-HKEY Local Machine-Software-Microsoft-Windows-Current Version-Run
