@home tracert issue

i get this everytime it freezes on the 7th ping.

what gives?

I would say a server is down or not responding there.

servers can block traceroutes as well. @Home may not be letting a traceroute get into their network from the outside. So you get on that last server and it stops.

It's a one way gate for only certain ports. Tracert can go through but you don't get results back.

They started doing that about 6 months to a year ago...I know because they susended me for a week for "playing", hehe. Shut down my modem for 3 days then they couldn't get it running again so had to replace it. Pretty harsh slap on the wrist. Everyone after me that got busted was banned so I considered myself lucky.

i did it when i got no response from my internet and thats what was pinged back.

figures there screwing me over as usual
