Win 98 Network settings

When I used Win xp my cable would download a single file upto 300kb/s now that I use win 98, the most I can get is 100 kb/s. What settings or driver updates can I use to restore my speed.

why would you go back to Windows 98???

Because win 98 is the best. Not really, my main comp crashed and to lazy to restore it so im just using an old laptop. Thanks for the link it helped alot. Now back to downloading porn at full speed :D
