OK, here's the inventory...

Enermax 530 watt PSU
Enermax 430 watt PSU
Abit IC7-G mobo/Intel Prescott 3.2E
MSI K8N Neo2 Plat mobo/AMD Venice 3200+
OCZ PC4000 2x512 2.5-3-3-7
Corsair PC3200 2x512 2-2-2-5
BFG 6800UltraOC
MSI 6600GT
DangerDen water set-up w/RBX & NV68
Zalman 7700 & 700 (can do any of the above combos)
2 - 74GB SATA Raptors
4 - 40GB PATA Maxtors
various other PATA HDDs from 20GB to 120GB

And here's the question...

What combination of these parts will give me the best gaming machine?

Ditto. I am not sure about the RAM though. The corsair has better timings at stock.

Why do you guys think the Intel crew will outperform the AMD crew? I kinda had the impression it would be the other way around.

It's a prescot and A64's tend to be better in gaming, and for everything else it's so close it doesn't really matter

They both agreed on AMD :p

But yeah, go for the Corsair.
