did a disk error check and fix, scheduled at startup, and now Windows 2000 Server gives me BSOD with a message that the registry ...config/software is corrupted

it's quite a pain as although no emails are stored within Exchange it'll take some time for me to do a reinstall.

are there any ways to fix the registry of a Windows 2000 that doesn't boot?

is that the full message it gives you ??

did you install recovery console ?

or can you use another pc to view that HD

i didnt read anything just pulle dup some pages so some may be null/void to this but check throught them .. dont have time to read it all ..

A system State backup contains all the registry info needed to restore it. If you don't have that I'd try a repair.

Will it boot into Safe Mode?

thanks I'll be able to restore it now

I don't think it boots into safe mode but that's not neccesary any more :)
