I just bought a new 1.2GHz AXIA CPU and a thermaltake VolcanoII fan and its cool!!!

Is this a normal thing with a thermaltake Volcano I know the orbs are crap but is this just luck that I got a decent AXIA CPU and a decent Volcano????

What do other people think of the Volcano, any good????

You're going to love it when you upgrade to the Volcano 6cu+, I did. I thought the Volcano II was great, when I got the 6cu+ I realized that the II was merely ok.

So in your opinion is a CAK38 with a delta@7V better than a VolcanoII or not??

the Volcano Certainly cools it down!!

I wouldn't get the CAK. If you're gonna spend the loot get the alpha 8045 w/80mm sunon or an adda. I have the volcano 5 with a 120mm 75cfm blow hole above it and it does alright 43 load. I have the 1.4ghz @ 1.4

I never actually got a Global Win sink, yet. I thought the Volcano II was great when I got it. When I got the Volcano 6cu+ I downgraded my opinion of the II to ok. The II is good, the 6cu+ is awesome!!!!!, the CAK? Don't know and now that I've got a 6cu+ I don't care. Sorry if that doesn't help you.

i used to have the CAK 38 and is really isnt all that good of a fan, i have a 1.33 and it was more than 5 c hotter than my thermoengine. i recommend the thermoengine which has done me really well. i can overclock my 1.33 to 1.5 and the temp only go up to 45c load temp. its quite nice, and when i tried that with the CAK 38 i couldnt even get it up that high, i got it up to 1.45 and it was barely stable and was running over 45 idle. so do not get the CAK38 but i highley recommend the thermoengine, but make sure you get it with the 7000 rpm fan on it. and make sure that the bottom is smooth before you install it, but after that, its an excellent cooler for not that much money.

I have the Volcano 5, and I love it. I think that it is a little bigger than the Volcano 2, but otherwise pretty much the same.

I have no dobt that you like your '2'. I wouldn't do anything to radical with it, but hey, as long as you monitor your temps...
