since fedex and kinkos have managed to damage my computer, i have 1000 dollars approx to spend on upgrading it

i recentlybuilt an sli system with the asus board, a 3500, and corsair xms pro ( 3200 2-2-2-5, ones with leds) for my friend, but that was with minimal research.

my new system looks like this so far,

dfi lan party ultra or sli
some sort of psu at 500-600 watts
athlon 64 x2 4400+
ati card something like x800

but for ram im not sure what to pick. i would like to overclock my rig but i dont see myself pushing it to the max. i would want ram that had 2-2-2-5 settings stock and ones htat could preserve those low timings with a slight oc. so what would be a good choice of ram considering i could spend around 200. for now i have mysites on the corsair xms3200,2-2-2-5(w/o leds). they seem to get good reviews and oc's but if i could find something better and cheaper i would be game.

also who knows nething about the geil sticks that run at 1.5-2-2-5 like when thei come out?

You may want to look at some of OCZ's memory.

there's a few peeps around here that have had some really good luck with it.

I have those corsair 3200 xl TCCD sticks ur looking at, & i really regret buying them.

not good for O/C'n

I'm stuck @ 200fsb w/them.

do you plan on gaming a lot? the x2 processor doesn't give any performance increase over other processors because of its dual core. I would recommend either getting OCZ Gold VX or Mushkin Redline. The speed is your preference, but I went with PC4000.
